My wife and I have been together 13 years and have never been able to buy each other proper wedding rings. We’ve been waiting for my husband’s inheritance, but the probate case is delayed again.
The economy is tough, and building your life with your significant other can be extremely challenging. Many couples never even get the chance to buy wedding rings! If you’re one of them, you’re probably waiting for the probate to end so you can finally buy those two tiny pieces of jewelry that mean so much to the two of you.
The average probate in the USA goes through in nine to 12 months. Add a few delays here and there, and it can last for years. If it doesn’t go smoothly, and there is something to be debated or fixed, it prolongs the wait even more.
Did you know that you don’t have to wait? You can apply for an advance and side-step the entire probate mess.
What is an advance, and how does it work?
An inheritance advance means selling your rights to the estate to us. If there are other heirs, it doesn’t affect their part of the property—you can’t sell anything that’s not yours.
In practice, this means that you sell a part of your property in advance, and you get paid now. Once you get the money, you have nothing more to do with that part of the property—you’ve sold it, and it’s ours now. We will wait patiently for the probate to end, and, when it does, we’ll take our part directly from your inheritance, and you’ll receive the rest of the estate.
There is no deadline, and no personal liability involved—an advance is not a loan, and you don’t have to worry about returning the money in time.
There are three steps to our process:
- Application and consultation. Once you’ve applied, one of our Funding Executives will explain everything to you. You’ll talk about our process, pricing and charging system, and other conditions. For your peace of mind, it’s crucial to understand everything in this step, so don’t hesitate to ask about any details that interest you.
- Evaluation. We will look into the petition for probate and the will if there is one. We will not go into your bank account, employment details, or anything of the kind. We are not a bank, and this is not a loan—we only need to check if there are enough funds to grant you the advance. You can ask for any sum between $5,000 and $500,000—but we need to make sure your request is realistic before we sign the contract.
- Documentation. The only thing left to do is the documentation—both sides need to sign the contract, and, once it’s done, you get your money. It takes us about three days to complete the process.
Why should I get an advance?
You should get an advance on your estate if:
- You need the money fast. It doesn’t matter what you need it for—you might need to pay some bills, or you may have come across a fantastic business opportunity, and you want to act fast—every reason is valid, and making your spouse happy is possibly the most compelling of all!
- You don’t have a good credit score. You don’t need anything but the estate in the probate process!
